What does Bloomington-Normal not have?
When development comes to B/N people complain that they are just bringing more of the same in, never anything new, just another restuarant, theatre, etc. that we already have plenty of. So my question... What does B/N not have enough of, what is a business that B/N doesn't have?
People's dissatisfaction with 'new' aka more of the same development --http://pantagraph.com/articles/2007/01/16/money/doc45ad32e7042e7663117094.txt#commentsbox

Creation museum?
Look at the "Most Commented" section for the "Full education shouldn’t leave God out of picture" article.
Start a creation museum, like the one that opened in Kentucky, and you'll make lots of money. Bloomington-Normal is highly religious.

I'm in town for business for approximately 8 weeks and found a dog park and some nice parks and trails. So compared with some cities I go to that's a big plus as I travel with two dogs. I hear they even have a dog day at one of the city pools in September. I haven't found any good grocery markets like a Whole Foods or Wild Oats type though. Anyone got any advice on organic options? Thanks.

As far as I know, Common Ground is the only organic grocer in town. They're located in Downtown Bloomington.
There are farmer's markets and co-ops for organic foods as well.

It does not have Trader Joe's or COSCO, Sax Fifth, Sonoma - Williams, a casino or upscale baby furniture.

"In Town" Grocery stores. Looks like you have to drive all the way out, now, to get groceries!

Are there any decent gyms in B-N these days? They used to have the Gold's Gym out near Eastland mall and IWU, but that was about it.
