Thanks very much, Steve-O!
I have so many pictures that I'd like to post, but I guess there is a limit to the size of pictures that you post.
How on earth were you and so many others able to post your pictures directly into the thread? I'm sure it's simple but I couldn't figure it out. I only just figured out how to attach them but didn't like how they appeared so small.
I'll post more IL pictures in the future. We do live in a beautiful state.
You are absolutely right about the 5th shot down! I climbed the stairs to the top of Castle Rock in Dixon and took that picture looking dead west. Great call!
Honeysuckle, Blue flowers, The grass is always greener and Sea of green were all taken at the Campton Hills Nature Trails, located in St. Charles, IL.
The 5th and 6th images were taken at Castle Rock State Park in Dixon, IL (near Oregon, IL.)
The Yellow flower was taken at Leroy Oakes Forest Preserve in St. Charles, IL.
The pink flower was taken at the Ferson Creek Fen in St. Charles, IL.
By the way, I LOVE your pictures. You've got such a great eye for photography and you get the most amazing shots.

Thanks, dogmom! I'd love to see some of the flower pics that you took in IL. The one that you took of the flowers on the porch in Carroll county is very charming.

You're welcome, dogmom. The Mt. Carroll area is absolutely beautiful. I plan on living in the northwest part of Illinois in the future. A comfy farmhouse with a wrap around porch is just my style!
Please, when you get a chance, upload a few more of your pics.
You have a high quality camera, very nice. I know what you mean about trying to figure out how to use a new camera. My birthday present this past January (and my first digital!) was a little Sony DSC-T70 Cybershot, which is what I'm using to take my pictures. It's small and easy to use, but I'm still exploring what all of the little buttons do.

Thanks to you, too!
Seems like we frequent the same parks to take photos, hahaha. Ive been at LeRoy Oaks several times. Have you ever walked the trail that runs along the creek? Its a pretty decent trail with lots of wildflowers, and the creek is nice too. The Campton Hills trail is nice, too. Did you take it out into the prairie and all the way around back to the entrance? Some nice scenery and wildlife back there!
As for posting the pictures, I use Photobucket, which automatically resizes the photos for internet usage. Sign up for an account (free) and upload your pictures, its really simple. Once the pictures are uploaded, simply copy the either the direct link or image IRL and paste it onto whatever website you want to post the picture on.

You're welcome, Steve-O!
We do go to some of the same parks to take pictures! There are so many good shots to take, I feel like a kid in a candy store.
I have walked the trail along the creek at LeRoy Oakes. I've even walked on part of the frozen creek in the winter! There are a lot of wildflowers and I like to walk around the many trails there.
I've also walked along the entire Campton Hills trail, even to the back where the Mill Creek runs through. There are a lot of American goldfinch flying around the creek area, but I can't get close enough for a good picture.
I also like a few of the little parks off of Route 31 in St. Charles, like the Ferson Creek Fen and the Fox River Bluff.
Thanks for the tip on using Photobucket. I'll have to check that out.
Here are a few Illinois nature that I took yesterday. Enjoy!
