Great shots, Steve! I notice that last one, Ive hiked that several times myself. Is that at Lowden State Park at the base of the bluff? If you take the mega-long staircase down to the river, head North (right) and take that until the end, then there are a few wooden steps dug into the hillside that you can take up to a small trail that leads along the base of the bluff and through the woods, leading you beside some neat sandstone formations.

Thanks, Steve-o! That is the path at Lowden State Park in Oregon, IL. There are a little over 200 stairs down to the Rock River. The climb back up is a challenge! It's easier to take the trail along the base of the bluff back to the top, but it was roped off. It looked very overgrown.
