Illinois Sales-Tax Free Days for Back to School
Does anyone know what days Illinois will be holding its tax-free days for back to school shopping?

I lived there years ago and I heard of it then. They should do that out here in CO as well. It really adds up!

It doesn't happen in IL that I know of. My girlfriend said she was going to Iowa this weekend to take advantage of their tax-free program.

No such thing in Illinois. Missouri and Iowa are the only bordering states that I know of that offer a back to school tax break.

Maybe some cities do it, then. I know I have heard of it, and certainly not here in CO.

I never heard of it here .. I went to Mo. last weekend the stores were crazy ..but I got some great deals for my kidos!

Virginia had there tax free this past weekend 8/3 - 8/5 2007 ....
I don't think Illinois does get tax free ,,,,,don't know the answer.
