Don't live there, but take the job.

Lisle neighbors include Naperville, Downers Grove, Woodridge, and Glen Ellyn / Wheaton. Pretty good access from 355 & 88 means people can have a tolerable drive from many other towns too.

Lisle itself is a nice enough town, though its downtown is not as well developed as most of its neighbors, there just is not the variety of shops / resturants.

Some parts of Lisle are served by Napervile D203 schools which remain well regarded. The schools of Lisle's own Unit District are not particularly poor, just overshadowed by more famous neighbor.

Lisle is also home to Benedictine University as well as the associated parochial high school, Benet Academy, which attracts kids from a broad swath.

Depending on your situation working in Lisle might be worth a moderate drive, one of the factors that has had somewhat negative impact on office space in Lisle was the masssive overbuilding by Att/Lucent at the height of the telcom / internet bubble. Lisle's more conservative employers (including family owned Molex) provide a stabilizing force...

I lived in Lisle (and what was then unincorporated Naperville) for several years. Unilever is off Warrenville Road, and you're a 20 minute drive from Naperville to the southwest, Woodridge/Bolingbrook to the south, and Downers Grove to the east. So if you chose to live in Lisle, there's plenty of shopping and restaurants within a fairly short drive. It's a small sleepy town ... whether you would like living there depends on what you're looking for.

It's also a suburb of Chicago. That'll come in handy if you're looking for entertainment.

Lisle is a great town to live in! Green Trails is a unique neighborhood (744 acres) that is made up of homes with no sidewalks but rather asphalt trails that run behind all the homes, keeping bikes and walkers off the streets.

While it is agreed that downtown Lisle is sparse in offerings, you are just minutes away from downtown Naperville. Portions of Lisle actually attend Naperville 203 schools, but Lisle 202 schools offer some advantages as well. (think smaller class sizes).

If you'd like to check out Lisle - Eyes to the Skies Festival - Hot Air Ballon Festival is on this weekend, and Ribfest is also running this weekend in Naperville. It would be a great time to investigate both!
