Default Moving Back to Champaign in fall of 2008

I grew up in Champaign-Urbana, but have been away for 25 years. My family still lives there, but have only been home a few time, more so in the last 8 years. But did not think about moving until this past year or so. I am remarried and DH is legally blind. So would like to have access to the bus system for him. So am looking for something to buy, but would like to have something in the city close to the main bus lines. My mother lives on Cynthia Drive, behind Garden Hills Park. So if cannot find something to buy when we get there will rent until we find something. Plan on coming back in July 08 to look will have just a week to do so.

You should get in touch with PACE, the local center for independent living. It is a non-profit corporation located in Urbana that provides services for people with disabilities. I work there as a volunteer, and I can tell you it is a wonderful organization.

Here is their website address:
PACE, Inc. Center for Independent Living - Urbana, Illinois

Thank you Switch I did look at the the web site will not sure if my husband had any more handicap other then sight that would apply to their program. So I will request information about it at a late date, possibly closer to when we are moving. Will try to look into it when we come back for a short visit next summer.

Thanks again.
