Default Local concerts

I figured Id start a thread where anyone can post upcoming concerts in the Illinois area. I get tired of missing out on concerts due to lack of word-of-mouth.

Anyone going to see Lee Rocker in DeKalb on 11/1?

is Lee Rocker at the House or Ottos? I went to NIU so i spend a significant amount of time at ottos (local h, lucero, jeff tweedy, reverend horton heat...lots of good times). honestly never went to the house much. they used to have a great concert series at the duke ellington ballroom too, but unfortunately that was disbanded.

the hideout blockparty is this weekend
Hideout Press: Block Party 2007 (broken link)

i know interpol is playing the aragon coming up, and i believe the editors are at park west. other than that, the only things really on my radar is fujiya and miyagi at the empty bottle, and the go! team at the double door.

He's playing at the House Cafe. Should be a great show. I see the last 3 shows on his tour are with Social Distortion. Im bummed that I cant see them in IL this time around. I know theyd have to go to a bigger venue though...

Animate Objects, a promising up-and-coming rap/R&B act combining a DJ and live instrumentation. I hate rap and even I like these guys.
Funky Buddha Lounge, Sept 14th, price TBA
