I have been working for the sate the last 3 years. But I have never liked the city other than my job. I have now a 5 year old that is going to start kinder garden next year. I currently rent my 2 bed room for 600$ a month but I have to move a better school district where I have to spent >1400$ a month more than double than what I am paying right now.

Springfield does not have much to offer when it comes to renting a residential area. There is not enough apartments or rentals properties. And the one that are sky rocketing. Even the apartment I am living right now is rented for 800 $ for new renters.

My question is I am afraid to buy a house because i do not want to be stack here for a long time. If things work out for me job wise I want to move out from here in 2 or 3 years.

I can spend 900-1000$a month can own a nice house much better than what I can rent. But I am afraid if I am able to sale it not able to sale when i move.

Any advice?
Merry

If you expect to move in under 3 years you need to suck it up and continue to rent.

It seemed that there were plenty of houses for rent when I lived in Springfield. Have things really changed that much since the 2000's?
