Hi Everyone,

I will be going to grad school at UIUC from fall 2012. I am looking for a decent 1 bedroom apartment closer to the engineering campus. I am freshly out of school so I will depend solely upon the monthly stipend that I'll receive from the school.

Can anyone give me any idea about which part of towns should I be looking at? I don't want to go above $600 per month for my rent+parking+utilities.

Thank you!

If you will call campus housing they have facilities for grads in Urbana. The bus stops at the front of the building. It is a quieter, less chaotic location. I understand the bus system is very good there. The number is on the school website.

Then I hope you're willing to take on a roommate.
