Apartments in Paxton?
Can anyone recommend any apartments or rental houses in Paxton IL? I live in Rantoul but want to get the heck out. I'm stuck in a lease for another 6 months but want to start looking now for a place to live. Buying a house is not an option for me at this time. Any suggestions?

There are a couple ways to proceed- drive up to Paxton during business hours (if you can) and visit the Pride in Paxton office in the 100 block of North Market Street, they can clue you in about landlords. THEN drop by Hudson Drug in that same block (or the gas stations or the IGA) and purchase a copy of the Paxton Record newspaper. That comes out on Wednesdays. Dropping in the realtors in town couldn't hurt, they're sitting on a lot more houses than they normally would, and rattled sellers might be interested in renting while things are SO slack in housing demand.
