Does anyone know of any of the Metro East, IL firework displays for the weekend of the 6th and 7th of July? NOT downtown St. Louis, MO. We are going there Wednesday, but for the weekend want to do one of the local shows. I have seen the one downtown and like I said I am going to that one Wednesday as well, so please do not offer that as a suggestion. Also it must be the Illinois side, nearby Fairview Heights, Shiloh, Columbia-ish region. Not Alton or anywhere north of Collinsville. We would really like one in O'Fallon, IL but haven't been able to find anything. Thanks for any help!

15 Top Picks Fourth of July 2012 (St. Louis area)

Scroll down about 1/3 of the page -- past the hotels advertising. You'll find St. Charles Riverfront activity followed by O'Fallon and other areas. It sound like a lot of fun. Don't forget the sunscreen and lots of bottled water.

Here is the news. Most of the towns don't celebrate.

The only fireworks near O'Fallon, IL is a t Mascoutah, IL off I-64. This is from the city website. "July 4, Annual Old Fashioned July 4th Celebration. Noon - 10 p.m. at Scheve Park. Bring your lawn chairs & enjoy all day music, food, drinks, and FIREWORKS!!! " I called the O'Fallon, IL PD to find this much. They don't celebrate the 4th.

I called Belleville PD. They don't celebrate either. Fireworks at Millstadt does. Starts at dusk behind the grade school. It is on IL 163 about 20 miles from St. Louis.

The only way to pull any information about the 4th is to call each town.
