Default Honesty in Illinois?

A sociological experiment was conducted in Illinois called the "Wallet Test". You can read about it at wallettest.com
The researchers deliberately dropped 100 identical wallets (containing money and ID) in public places to test honesty.
The test results were broken down by stats such as age and gender.

Are people in Illinois more then people in other parts of the United States?

My guess is that this depends completely on the people, not the state. However, I will say, when I was moving to Florida from Chicago, I threw away a bin of my belongings, and inside was an old wallet. It didn't have much in it, but did have an old list of emergency phone numbers that I had to have on me when I was in Africa. Someone who lived about 14 blocks from my old apartment found the wallet on the street (how it got there?) and called my mom who was the first emergency number to let her know he found it and he offered to mail it to her. Just thought that was nice. But no, it has nothing to do with being in IL

Cool story. Most people, I think, are honest.
