It all depends how you define "natural beauty." It's all around where I live, seconds outside my door. My examples were of public tracts of land that anyone can access.

So you're planning on living in a condo in the middle of a national park? And saying "human development has worked around it" is an extremely broad statement. Feel free to give specifics.

Jersey County Illinois - were that little curve right across from St. Charles Mo.

6) Whats your favorite region of the state? I think where I am at now .. we have the rivers ,state park , lots of land marks.

9) Whats your favorite state park/recreation area in the state? Pere Marquette State Park in Grafton Illinois. This is where I rode a horse for the first time, Fished for the first time, Mushroomed the first time, Lots of first times here

and last but not least...

10) If you could move somewhere else, where would you like to go?

I was just thinkin the same thing. One of those golf courses sits on right on top of an old landfill. During the fall who would know it, but during those lovely, unhumid Chicago summers the smell is bad. Nice use of space, bad for the nose!
