My daughter is 25 and looking for a safe neighborhood in Freeport,Il She has found a few apts but would like to know what the neighborhoods are like . one on Iroquois st and one on adam

I live in Freeport, IL now. Has she already moved? If not do not let her move to Iroquois st. Or Adams.. horrible. Ghetto. Not safe what so ever! There was just a murder a couple months ago on Iroquois where a barber was cutting a guys hair the guy got mad that he wouldn't only charge him $5 for it so he shot the barber in the head. Horrible over there. Tell her to look anywhere on Stephenson is good. Neighborhoods surrounding hospital are best. There are a bunch of apartments available near highland the college as well.

Moving in September
I am moving to Freeport,IL in September. I am going to work in the hospital. Does the hospital have its own residence? Or is there any condominiums in Freeport or I'd have to rent a house. Generally, I prefer condos with doorman if possible for safety. Shall I just rent any apartment -if any- in Stephenson or around the hospital? I am coming alone, my family will stay in Chicago. Please advise.

There's both. Be careful where you rent. There are some very bad areas of Freeport, but some are ok.
