Must be some symbolical meaning behind that fulgy float because Im just not getting it. In any case, we got blown out, but thats what we expected.

Thanks for sharing the pic though.

NBC, which we were watching cut to the announcer after a few measures of music by the band. I wrote to object. Haven't gotten a reply yet. Next year will watch HGTV, which did a much better job, which we discovered later.

I was there for all of it. I believe the float is the standard design that's used every year for the Big Ten team (it's something that can change logos easily). The only thing more depressing than the game was coming back home from 70 degree weather and immediately have to shovel my driveway with a negative wind chill outside. I'm not one that gets bothered by Chicago weather that much, but that was a quick snap back to reality. Regardless, it was still a fantastic time. Stepping out into the Rose Bowl for the first time for a college football is akin to a baseball fan's inaugural visit to Wrigley or Fenway - it's just a spectacular setting.

Sounds like you had fun. I saw the Rose Bowl from the road, never been inside it though.

Next year Im gonna be in the Caymans in January (where highs are 83 and lows are 75), so Ill also get to experience the brutal awakening when I step off the plane back in Chicago. As for the float again, it looks like a staircase with a railing, its frickin ugly.
