well...I think my annoyance is pretty justified! I just heard on the news we have had 100 or so inches of snow in my area, and in Kankakee only 18 inches.....its amazing.

I want to walk around on the ground and not be annoyed with cold snow, bright sun blinding me, and its almost but not quite warm enough to comfortably participate in outdoor recreation for me.
Man, I played street hockey for 2 hours on Saturday and 4 hours yesterday. It wasnt very warm (maybe 40-ish), but man was I sweating up a storm and having a blast. Its all up to the individual of course, but I think too many people are just too unmotivated. Ill never understand the "it has to be perfect outside for me to enjoy it" mentality. Me? I find it fun outside when its -10 or 95 degrees.

On a side note, Saturday and Sunday were very nice and sunny, as is today.

I dont think you understand the difference between where you live and where I live. But beyond that, I dont think I need to explain to the rest of the world how I feel....just you. I dont expect perfection, give me a break. Its just that its the end of March and I am extremeley weary of a very long snowy winter. I'm tired of it. It did not break the 40's where I live either, so good for you and your street hockey, I am wildly happy for you. But I am allowed to experience the world my own way and dont have to pretend to be happy for you.

Right on! It's been a long, miserable winter, and most of us want to be done with it.

Chill out. WTF!?!? Did you completely miss where I said "its all up to the individual"? I wasnt attacking you or your preferance, just stating mine and how I had fun playing street hockey. Yes, I think too many people become unmotivated in winter (I wasnt directing that at you per se), and to them I say: MOVE TO FLORIDA.

But please, dont attack me, there's no need for it.

Anyone else getting blown around like a rag doll in this wind?!?! Sheesh.

Partly sunny this morning, supposed to reach 52, but with this wind it will probably feel like the lower 40s.

Last night's sunset:

Steve I have to say that we need to throw Blago out of office and vote you in. You would make for a great spokes person for not only the Chicago area, but the entire state of IL. You never seem negative about this area at all. Its almost funny in a sense, but you are right, there have been a couple of days that have been nice, but like the general concensus has been on here, overall it has been crappy since Christmas and I as well as many others are ready for spring already. Not that winter is a time to just sit on the sofa watching movies, but it would be nice to be able to go out for a run, walk, bike ride, whatever without being whipped around by hurricane like winds, rain, snow, sleet, and continual cloud cover. I miss my tan. I don't sport the whole zombie/ghost look too well.

Trust me, Im welllllll aware of how bad this winter was. But, I took it with a grain of salt. I had a blast this winter, minus the pothole dodging.

This winter is actually making me gain weight...and I'm ticked. I made it through Christmas with a net loss for the year!!! This BS spring has tricked me and my body back into hibernation and I think I've put on ten pounds just between now and Feb.....Serenity now!!!!!!!!!!!! I just want to play in the park, ride my bike...drive with the window open. I can't take it anymore!
