A tornado did touch down briefly near here (Goodfield, IL.) last night, but there was no damage. I had family out in Goodfield at a church and they were sent to the basement for half an hour, and my sister in rural Congerville saw the funnel cloud.

Interestingly, in the last few years, it seems like the corridor from northern Tazewell into Woodford has been a magnet for tornadic activity, beginning with the destructive South Pekin tornado in 2003. Perhaps it's just random chance, but it is curious.

Glad to hear theyre ok. This summer, I believe, has spawned record numbers of tornadoes across the country.

Thanks for the links! That little cell phone video was pretty unique, captured the thunder really well.

Looks like tonight it'll be mostly west of here (Kansas City looks to get SLAMMED)... tomorrow is another story entirely.

Thanks. I read Skilling's forecast on lunch and he mentioned some thunderstorms tomorrow, early, then mostly sunny afterwords. He said some might be severe, so we'll see.

RRConductor76 is on a distinguished road
The NOAA weather scanner said some bad weather for tomorrow. Possible Tornados and large hail. Which usually means a simple 15 minuet soaker.

Theyre still calling for possible tornado watches this afternoon. When I left for work it was quite nice, very breezy, completely sunny. By the time I got to work 20 minutes later the skies out west were pretty dark and the winds had picked up too. Still quite humid. UGH Supposed to be almost 90 tomorrow! WTH is this!?!?!
