Question - during these dog days of high daytime humidity - how does the night time feel, say starting at 10pm - do you still need to run the A/C. I'm guessing the evening does not bring in much relief for the humidity, so maybe anytime the night time temp is above 68 degrees on a hot/humid day, the A/C runs relentlessly?

Hello!
Yes, during these types of days, the A/C runs non-stop here at my house. Even though the night temps cool down, the humidity can still be high, which makes it too sticky for my tastes. Some people like it, some dont. When, say, the high is 75 and the humidity is at 60%, you dont notice it much. Those nights usually drop into the low 60s, which you can absolutely get by w/o running the A/C as its a little chilly. Ive had nights here where the humidity was 85%, but the temps were in the 50s and I had to get up and shut the windows cuz I was freezing my arse off. As of right now (8:40 pm), the temp is still 78 degrees, which is way above normal. I can hear thunder in the distance, bringing some much needed rain. woot

Man, that storm is moving slow then. I breezed in n out here in Warrenville in about 10-15 minutes max. Lots of lightning and thunder, some decent rain, now nothing.

It is raining good now and for about 5 minutes. It must be moving really fast.

Did anyone see the forecast for this weekend? I saw 97 degrees one of these days. I checked the humidity, and it looks low those days (in the 30% range), so it might be somewhat tolerable.
CMON FALL!

I was watching the lightning down SE of here last night, looked cool!
Today is GORGEOUS! Deep blue skies, low humidities (a nice break after 5 days of high humidity), nice breeze. Currently 78 degrees at 6:45pm here in Warrenville. Mmmmm
