Getting some sun here in Warrenville at the moment after a overcast morning. Been a decent weekend, but a bit windy for my tastes. Got some heavy rain last night, but I must admit that the air before the storm smelled wonderful, like a warm summer night before the rain. mmmm

It's 23 degrees right now in River Grove and I took a nice walk outside today on some wooded paths, and the air felt great. It's supposed to get down to about 16 degrees tonight, very chilly!

Snow is in the forecast possibly this Tuesday and Wednesday in my neck of the woods. It's winter and it'll be good to see a little snow on the ground since most of the snow that we had has already melted.

Yeah its cold alright! Those winds came out of the West and blew all the clouds away, but also dropped the temp around 15 degrees!

It was chilly today with a little snow falling, enough to cover the ground.

Some snow is expected in River Grove overnight and tomorrow with temps in the high 20s.

Sooooo, uh, what was that all about? Is that the "mad, bad blizzard" we were supposed to get tonight? Pfft. It snowed for about 2 hours, maybe got 1" of snow, then its stopped now for over 2 hours, with a light mist coming down and temps going up. What the?!?!

We're supposed to get wind gusts up to 35 mph tonight into tomorrow morning, which will make for blowing and drifting snow and poor visibility.

Single digit and sub-zero temps are predicted for the rest of the week in my area and Thursday night could see the temperature at minus 12! Bundle up!

I like this cold weather. It makes me appreciate more the warmer months when they are here.

It's 5 degrees right now and it's supposed to go down to zero. Brrrr!
