24 degrees and the major ice storm has just started....Predictions by the local news is that this could be the worst in two decades. They are never even remotely near right and I hope this isn't the first time they are.If they are,I'll see you guys in a week or so when the power comes back on.

A chilly, cloudy day! Was nice to be able to drive to work w/o having my retinas seared by the friggin sun reflecting off the snow. ugh

Good luck with that! We're getting the lightest imagineable snowfall right now after a day of mixed sun and clouds and below-average temps.

Total accumulation in my driveway = 4" of sleet and 6" of snow.It actually hasn't been to bad for us because we have kept our power at home and at our business this time and it is really beautiful to look at.I've spent the last two days on a backhoe clearing city streets and shoving downed trees out of the way,but for some reason it hasn't bothered me at all this time and if it were not for others having so much trouble,I would ALMOST enjoy it this time.I took some good pics for you Steve-O and I'll try to post them later this evening when I get back in

I'd love to see the pictures! Can't wait to see em. I think the "Images of Illinois" thread would love some company.

I wanna see the pics, too, whenever you get a chance.
Today was a bit windy, with a constant battle between sunshine and clouds. It was cloudy then sunny, cloudy then sunny, cloudy then sunny. Right now its perfectly clear and coooold.
