Got a little rain tonight, nice and cool still... about 64 right now. Most of today was rather overcast, same goes for tomorrow.

We'll gladly send some wetness up north!

According to the Farm Bureau, for March, April and May, the average rain across the state was 15.9 inches which is 4.9 inches above normal. In Peoria County it was the wettest on record. The wettest place in the state was St. David in Fulton county....north and west of Springfield....with 27.7 inches reported. Statewide this has been the fifth wettest season on record.

Let's hope the water faucet hasn't run dry for the remaining months of the year. The crops will need rain a bit later on.

When the sun came out today it got very hazy. Humidity is up today, but the temps remain low, so its very tolerable. Supposed to reach 88 by Friday?!?! Tomorrow is sunny for most of the day and 80 perfect degrees.

Yesterday was pretty nice all day up until about 6:00PM when it started to rain pretty lightly, which it did for several hours after that. Some incredible lightning last night, too!

Today is mostly sunny, 81 degrees and quite dry. 20% chance of rain in most areas, but thats not until late tonight.

Have you ever tried your luck with lightning pictures? If so it would be neat to see them

I have a few times, but not with my new camera. It would have been ideal last night, but it was raining lightly, and I dont wanna get the camera wet. Im waiting for one of those nights when I can shoot a distant lightning storm.
