That's it, Drover? That's your response...that I stink. Thanks for proving my point there, buddy. I'd work a little harder on resisting the ignorance. Sox fan lists indisputable facts and Cubs fan says you smell...yeah, that's pretty much how it goes. You're a joke.

Yep, that's my response, because it doesn't merit the effort of a point-by-point refutation. I don't argue with people who have reading comprehension problems. It wastes both parties' time.

Dont you have anything better to do? Like buying a fancy new Sox hat like everyone else in Chicago? You know, those New Era caps with the flat brim, that you can co ck all sideways and then sag your pants to your ankles while driving your 1998 Ford Expedition with 26" chrome rims while spouting "yo dawg, Konerko's my dawg, dawg!" Stereotypes suck, dont they!

Ive met many great Sox fans who actually know the game, and Ive met many Sox fans who didnt even know Ozzie used to play baseball. Im sure there are many Cubs fans who might not even know the name Fergie Jenkins, or Ryne Sandburg, too. There are TONS of knowledgeable Cubs fans, whether you want to admit it or not. Same goes for Sox fans. But I tell you what, after the Sox won the WS against HOU, I never saw so many bandwagon jumpers in my life. Its sickening to say the least.

Some people just get a Bonerko for Konerko for some strange reason.

I am not one of them.

This is a funny question for me....
I grew up along the Illinios River...B'town etc....
Growing up I honestly thought there were only 2 baseball teams.
Cubs and the Cardinals...
And only three football teams,
Bears, Cardinals and the Packers.
These were the only teams spoken about in our house.

I was truly SHOCKED to find out there were other teams.

I'm a Dolphin fan by marriage but a Chicago fan by birth. lol

Superficially clever at best. For a jab to sting it must have some basis in fact, all good ball-busters know that. Yet the fella responded to shows no problems with his reading or thinking. Thus the jibe fails to rise to true ball-busting and is mere insult.

Well, except for that part where he rags on me for saying the Sox are "a joke" when I never said anything about the team at all except that I'm indifferent about them, and then calls me an embarrassment to the entire city based on his own lack of comprehension skills. People who are incapable of basic distinctions aren't worth my effort.

Let's recap, Drover says I smell and I can't read. Some people never get beyond a third-grade mentality, I understand. This steve-o dope basically calls me a gangbanger for liking the Sox and says I'm the one who's stereotyping. Then, he has the nerve -- with his 10,208 posts -- to ask if I have anything better to do. Uh, Steve? This is my 10th post, maybe we should talk about how you're spending your time.

I have not stereotyped and I have not insulted without being insulted first. I have simply listed facts, things that have happened in baseball and I'm sorry if it's not painted in Cubbie Blue. My team has a long, storied history and I am proud of that.

Now, if Drover's time (6,845 posts) wasn't so valuable, we could do a little reading lesson right here. He could reread my post that did NOT insult ALL Cubs fans but rather only those who insist the Sox didn't exist before September 2005. And then, if his eyes didn't water too badly, he could reread his own post where he says exactly that.

I got the evil Sox hat on sideways, got my pants around my ankles, gonna head out to the hoopty and blast some gangsta rap on the way to The Cell. You know what else I got? My two college degrees...you dopes.

So long, boys. Keep living the online dream...where evidently people know $hit about absolutely nothing.
