It's NOT 5 MINUTES by helicopter, as there's no landing pad, except at the hospital and it's still 15 minutes from THERE!!! Get your facts straight and quit being misleading and I doubt Michael Schumacher is even coming to Rockford in his Ferrari, there's snow on the ground!!

Can we just agree that Metro center, if you've never been there before, is a bit hairy when it comes to parking and 'going around the block' involved knowing which streets are one way, as you may end up 10 blocks from where you were originally... So, it's just best to park in the parking structure and hope you remember what floor you parked on when you go back to your car???

Steve0- Give yourself at least 30 minutes from the I-90 / State Sreet exit (Hilton Exit), which will give you enough time to park the car and get inside...

I forgot about the snow problem. The fastest way would be to get a ride in a rally car:

It would handle the potholes well and you could drive across the Rock River directly to the Metro Center so you would not have to worry about the downtown streets.

That winter rally seemed so cool, if I was 20 years younger. We've had some nice Neon's and Sentra's in our neighborhood driving like that on our block!

Lets not forget to mention ROCKFORD DOESN'T ALWAYS PLOW SNOW VERY WELL.

You better hope the parking structure isnt full when your get to it. I do not know what they were thinking when they put the Metro Center downtown they had the chance tp put it out near I 90 but they choose not to. Once again nice job Rockford.
