It's nothing like either, but St. Louis has fewer people so....that's a little like Springfield....and St. Louis only has the Mississippi River hence no major water like Chicago - so more like Springfield? Kinda reaching here.

Springfield is Springfield. Its not reminiscent of either Chicago nor St. Louis to me.

Situated on the Illinois Prairie, Springfield is the seat of Sangamon County and Illinois politics. Chicago and St. Louis are neither.

I think you'd probably be wrong. The featured merch at Scheels and other fan gear stores is all Cardinals.

Probably unhelpful, but Springfield is like Fargo. It is not anything like St. Louis or Chicago.

I live in Springfield. They did a rough census recently and found that the we have about 60% Cardinal fans and 40% Cubs fans.
