Hi, stac1023,

I like Polo and actually looked at a house there on Pines Rd near White Pines State Park about a year ago or so. I go to Polo and Oregon several times a year to walk the trails. It's a pretty area.

Since you were a longtime resident of Polo, how has it changed in your opinion?

Thanks so much for your input!

Whose house was it?

My family still live there. Grew up on a farm outside of Polo and we moved in to polo my freshman year. It is not as large as the 70's- 80s. All my class mates still live there. nice town but to do anything you have to drive to Dixon or Sterling.

I'm really not sure who owned the house but it was a white farmhouse on a few acres and I believe that it was near the intersection of Pines Rd. and Oregon Trail Rd. I was told that the son had just built a new house down the road and that he was selling his father's house (the white farmhouse.) I don't know if it ever sold or not.

It is a nice town and I always enjoy White Pines, Castle Rock and Lowden State Parks when I visit the area. I don't mind driving around to do things. It would a nice change for me to be in a quieter area.

Polo would be a great place than for you. We lived 3 1/2 mile from White Pines. It is a nice community, people are nice, my parents run the Legion in Polo.
