I did did a search on new homes east of 90 in my MLS and there are several ranging from 159,470 - 599,900.
The best advice I can give you is to take a drive.

Take 90 west, exit at Belvidere/Genoa Road and turn right (north)
Follow that straight for about 2-3 miles to Route 76, and turn right.
Take 76 North about 2 miles to Caladonia Road and turn left.
Take Caladonia Road a mile or two and turn left (west) on Orth.
Follow Orth all the way to the end. (there's a soccer complex there).
Turn left and get to Riverside, which will take you back to 90.

From Bartlett, this trip will take you about 2 hours round trip but you will see some great housing along the way. Do it on Sunday so you can pop in on some open houses too. The open houses in this area are usually from 2-4.

Good luck!!
