Default Is this doable?

This may be more of a hurdle than actually finding a job. Is it doable to find and secure an apartment when I live 2200 miles away? I would front up enough to cover damage deposit and two or three months worth of rent to the Apartment Mgr. I figure this would allow me enough time to get acclimated to the area and hopefully finding gainful employment. I suppose I could call around by going on line and surfing the Peoria Journal Star. I think I am going to concentrate in Peoria County. I am originally from Normal. Was back there in 2003 to bury my mother and outside of Mitsubishi, Firestone, Eureka Williams, and GE I think that is about it. My father retired from General Electric but they have downsized in the early 80’s and never did recover from their robust years of the 60’ and 70’s.

Your thoughts?

Thanks,
Dave
