Default Harkness grove

Does anyone know anything about Harkness Grove. My ancestors are the Harknesses and I know my great great granfather had a house and is buried there. Any info would help thanks.

Thats gotta be a tiny town, I cant even find it on the map, nor on this site. What larger city is it around? Is it is Northern Illinois? Southern? Mid-state? Im kinda interested myself...

All I have found out is Harkness grove Cemetary is in Trivoli Township In Peoria County. My Great Great grandfather James Harkness was in the Revolutionary War, a captian or something, and his dad Issac is there as well along with a few others. they lived in Harkness Grove which I am not sure was a town but more of a development. I believe a few of their homes are still there. I saw photos of the gravesites online and got all mushy, typical of me!!

Ah, I just found it. I should have Googled it first I supposed. I never go to that part of the state, theres not much to do down there. Im sure my brother has been there, hes a Revolutionary War reenactor. If you like that sort of thing, there are lots of reenactments up here. He belongs to the Northwest Territory Alliance, I think their site is www.nwta.com or something like that.

Hi, I am new at this. The revolutionary war veteran James Harkness and his wife Elizabeth Edson Harkness and familty relatives are burried there.
In reviewing gravestone info I recognize three of James eleven children are burried at Harkness Grove Cemetery; James Pelham Harkness, Isaac Harkness and wife Sarah Wilson Harkness, and daughter Chloe Harkness.
I am a Great Great Great grandson of James Harkness myself. Please send me more specific information on how you are related to James Harkness. Which one of his eleven children started your chain?
