Default Neighborhoods in Galesburg, Illinois

I am wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of a neighborhood North Cedar Avenue in Galesburg is? Are there run down, crime ridden areas in this town that you just don't want to be around?

Please tell me what you know about Galesburg!!

THANKS!!

Default Cedar Ave.

North Cedar Ave. is not a bad part of town. The streets to stay away from are South St., Monmouth Blvd, Tompkins St. to name a few. N. Cedar would be in the nortern part of galesburg. The worse parts are in the southern end of town.Pretty much anything South of the police station on Broad St. are bad areas minus the Knox college area.

you don't want anyting from 100-400 block of North Cedar. 500 is so/so. 600 is better and gets better the higher you go.
typical of most North South streets. Nothing between 100-400 either side of main street . The farther north the better usually. Nice older neighborhoods to the the higher numbers south also.

Also avoid Sumner, Blaine, and Pine.
