Exclamation Possiblity of Moving To Illinois

I am currently new to the forum and need some dire help!

Me And my fiance might be moving to Illinois so he can go to Illinois University, and we really don't know much about the area. This Is a major decision of were we're moving to. I would like to know about the city as a whole such as, Renting rates of Two bedroom apartments, Are there good Job opportunities around, Is getting around easy for new comers ect.

Any Information would help and be nice, Thank you

First, it would help to clarify where you are going. There is no "Illinois University" but there is an Illinois College (small private liberal arts school) and The University of Illinois (large flagship public university). the latter is located in Urbana and Champaign, though people often refer to the whole general area as "Champaign" since it is the larger of the two cities. With that in mind... if you are attending U of I, use the forum's advanced search function to search for threads with "Champaign" in the title. There have already been plenty of threads covering many aspects of Champaign.

Or she could mean southern illinois university... in carbonale or edwardsville
or western illinois university
or eastern illinois university
or university of illinois springfield
or northern illinois university....

Ok, I'll stop, but we do need more information so you could potential be talking about any place in the state right now.
