As much as I hate Blago the article does have flaws or at least the way some people think are flawed.

Blago is a moron. They should be attacking him because he is a moron, not because he is a moron and from Chicago.

Not everyone in Chicago liked him when he ran. He got elected because of morons in every part of the state, not just the Chicago area.

Well I mean WTF? If 2/3's of the population of Illinois is in the Chicago area, why is it wrong if just over half of agency directors are from the Chicago area?

If the rest of the state wants to play tit for tat they are in for a rude awakening.

There are much better articles that fit in much more closely with Blago's epic hubris and ambition. The simple version is that Blago saw that Daley had amassed a huge "campaign fund" by doling out City business to private firms. These firms give huge sums to help Daley's "re-election" and Daley also uses this cash to run opponents to any alderman that do not go along with his master plan.

While this mostly works for Daley, Blago has no useful connections outside of the immeadiate Chicago area so he ends up using the campaign fund only to promote himself and bash anyone that runs against him.

The money train may be derailed with the Rezko trial and there is even a possibility that the legislature will impeach the corrupt scum -- it is pretty clear from testimony that he was aware of the intent of 'donors' to get something in exchange for their cash. Clear grounds for impeachment on ethics alone...

Blago keeps going back to the well of the simple minded that shout out at the churches he shows up at and tossing peanuts to seniors. The seniors have gotten wise and even they think his additional burden on transit is something that the state cannot afford in its dire financial shape. One can only hope that SOMETHING turn the churches against him too and then we can drive a stake into the heart of this bloodsucker who thought he could grease he way into a shot at running for POTUS.

Illinois, Cook County and Chicago...maybe Daley is okay, as a closet Republican....desperately need a Republican centrist to clean house.
