Moving To Illinois (Chicago, Rockford, Freeport: real estate, job, house)

My Husband and i are moving to Illinois because of his job.

I don't want to come off as being hateful, but im one of those who really don't want to live by minorites.

Illinois is full of ethnic groups and we are trying to get away from that where we lived in New york.

We looked at Chicago but with the surge of hispanics and black people living or moving their, i find it a problem moving their.

I looked at Central Ill, but even their, blacks and hispanics are taking over in some of the college communities.

The one place i find to be of our type: would be northwestern Ill around Gelena or Freeport.

It comes to my attention that as a white woman with 3 kids, we are now the minority now with the blacks and hispanics and even the Chineese taking over our cultures.

My husband is very pro white and he doesn't want to deal with all the issues that plague minorities such as crime, and lack taxes to support their welfare.

Ive heard good things about Illinois, but not certain where to raise a family and with the schools full of minorities, i find it hard to send them to public school.

Come on, you can't be serious. Where in Illinois is your husband's job? Many downstate communities have no minorities, but unless you own your own farm there is no much work either. Hardly any workplaces in Illinois are completely of one race, though honestly few if any towns/neighborhoods are really integrated to any great degree. There are towns that have blocks and blocks with no African-American or Hispanic minorities, largely because they tend to make less money on average and cannot afford to live in some places. Of course there are also more than a few very successful minorities that could live anywhere they want...

I suppose if you bought up five acres or so near a nuclear plant or something downstate you could build your own compound and homeschool...

Soooo, you have no problem being around minorities as long as they live nice, clean, crime-free lives? There are many areas in IL that are just like that. However, it sounds like youre pretty racist, are you sure youd be willing to live around minorities? Absolutely sure??? Im not gonna recommend any areas if youre gonna be racist and refuse to live around them. There are also tons of tiny, small, white communties all across the state, but theyre pretty far from Chicagoland.

Id suggest you just learn about minority cultures, values, etc, before you stereotype the bad apples.

I dont think Illinois is for you it sure wasnt for me either. I lived there for 3 years and hated it I moved to Lake Havasu City AZ and love it. What I find is there are alot of close minded people in Illinois and they do not like change. I would think Wisconsin or Iowa would be a better choice to live if you have to be in the Midwest. Do this FoxyWoman Visit the Wisconsin Forum and look around at the responses and how they treat others then come back here to Illinois and see how they are here, compare the two and that might help you make up your mind. What ever you decide upon Please Please dont choose Rockford.Its bad very bad

I have that same feeling.

People are just to affraid to voice there opinions cuz it might offend someone but i don't give a **** about what people think.

I grew up in the late 60's to early 70's and seen what happens to nice american towns due to change, its calle rioting and trust me, the minorities will itch there way in any chance they can get if it means buring down parts of cities to get their point.
You will never see white middle class working people burn down a city or riot like the blacks did in the late 60's just so they can live next door to you and ruin your neighborhood.

But i did some research and found that Illinois has alot of nice towns that have a strict policy about who moves in their communities and i like that.

They say we should all get along, well that don't work for people who do drugs and rob you at gun point and steel from you or marry into your husbands family member.

I seen the Wisconsin forums and yea their rough over their. but i don't want the winters their.

Winter are about the same in Wisconsin as in Illinois unless your way south in Illinois then its not so bad. You might want to be a bit more out West. Check out Arizona or New Mexico, Utah. Arizona passed a new law that states if you are a business owner and have an Illegal working you will be fined something like $10,000 and $20,000 2nd offense and guess what they all have left to where there is no such law.
You would not think that there were so many around but it sure shows now.In the town where I live almost everybody is white before the law went into affect we had a pretty large population of hard working mexicans for the most part they have left.Now us white folks have to do the hard work. I had no idea how many were Illegal. Now they are going to Illinois and other states where they can get on the welfare bandwagon.
You ask who pays for this? The citizens of that state pay. Real estate taxes here in Lake Havasu are $679 for a house built in 1991 value of about $150,000 that same house in Roscoe Il (thats where I use to live)so i know
the Taxes are $3800 and go up each year for same house year and sq ft. Huge Huge difference.
We do not have the bad roads and its not a welfare state. I have no idea where all of the tax money goes in Illinois. once again my 2 cents is all

From friends and from the media.

We decided to put a move on hold for awhile and see what happens in the future or until the econemy gets better.

As for blacks and hispanics, there good and bad in both and i don't mind living with the good. Cuz their is good and bad in all races.
