Does anyone know anything about a small town in souther Illinois by the
name of Logan. I believe it is between Benton and West Frankfort Illinois. |

My map program shows it in Edgar County, south of Danville on County 3 and almost on the Indiana border.

Look up Thompsonville, IL on google maps, and then find Rt 34 going northwest to Benton. About 2/3 of the way there you'll find Logan Road... near what the map calls Hannaford and Parrish.

Maybe you need to find out what county, the Logan you're looking for, is in. They must have run out of names when naming towns in Il. There are towns, in different parts of Il, with the same name.

I live in Logan (aka Hanafod Illinois). It is in Franklin County, between Benton and Thompsonville, like you said. The population is only 250 people!! It is very peaceful and safe, but is a drive to everything (about 10 minutes or so) including gas stations, grocery stores, schools, EVERYTHING!! Logan only has a post office. Nothing else!

Thanks, I made it over there to Logan since I last posted. Could not beleive the changes.
I used to go there during the summer as a kid. Had a couple of girl friends I liked then. The only thing Logan had then was a Post Office and an old store, I think it was Ramsey's or something like that. I remember the school on that main road coming in from benton. It had these big round fire escape things on the side. We used to climb up them then slide down them. Haven't talked to anyone from Logan since the early 60's. Nice to hear from you. Would like to talk more to you about Logan if possible. |
