Default Decent Restaurant Needed in Collinsville, IL

My company is sponsoring 10-15 summer interns for a training visit to Collinsville within the next month. I need to locate a decent couple of restaurants to host dinners over two nights for our group of young college students (most are juniors/seniors).

I do not live in Collinsville, but am familiar with some of the restaurants near Gateway Center (Bandana's, etc.).

Please recommend your preferred dinner choices for Collinsville (and why!).
Many thanks!

Porters is good for a nice evening. It is located in the Holiday Inn, and they have great steak and other items. They have rooms you can reserve for larger parties. Their bar, which used to be a cigar bar, is nice also for after dinner.

There is also a Mexican restaurant near the Holiday Inn. I can't remember the name of it, but I know several people that enjoy eating there. I have not been there myself.

Perhaps not quite what you were looking for, but there's a new Golden Corral in Collinsville, and you just can't beat the rolls! Plus it's a sprawling buffet-style, so everyone would be happy with the food style.

Just my couple pennies...

Porters would be the best choice in Collinsville. I lived in the area for 10 years. Theyre really are no upscale resturantes in Collinsville. Porters is a good steakhouse, clean atmoshpere. Good brunch as well. The brunch is always good too. Expect about $40.00 per person for dinner. Brunch is about $12.00 last time I was there. About a year ago.
