Any thoughts on Genoa???
My mother-in-law is considering a home in Genoa, any info on the town would be appreciated. Thanks

I am sure by now your mother-in-law has made a decision on where to move but I felt compelled to answer anyway since there may be others looking for a great place too live. My sister has lived here in Genoa for 9 years and my hubby and I loved the small town so much we were here every weekend, so 4 years ago we also bought a home and moved out here. The town is very nice, we have excellent neighbors, a fabulous police dept. and a top notch fire/rescue unit. The home prices are lower here than if we were closer to Chicago which was a big plus for us as this allows me to stay at home while my husband works, which is something we couldn't have done had we bought in other areas. My hubby works in Addison and it takes him about an hour to get to work but he says it is worth it.
