Good. There's a few dead spots along some highways. In towns, servioe is very reliable.

I never had a problem with Verizon; AT&T, rather, was horrible.

I can second the part about losing service along the highways/interstates. Along I-55, you tend to lose service south of Litchfield and north of Staunton - it's not a complete blackout, but it's tenuous to say the least. I'm sure in any city, tho, you'll be alright, but if you have to travel a bit for your job, that might be different.

There is a real dead Verizon area around Lawrenceville/Robinson/Mt. Carmel area. Especially in Lawrenceville. If you are driving Hwy 50 east once you hit Robeson Hills and are almost in Vincennes, IN the signal gets strong again. My Verizon phone won't work at all in some parts of Lawrence County.

My IL's have Verizon and they are in central IL. They don't have a home phone, they just use cell phones and I've never had a problem connecting with them. They have used Verizon for many years now and say they are pleased.

I live in Springfield, IL and have recently switched from Tmobile to Verizon because Tmobile had a dead zone in my new location. Verizon so far (2 weeks) has been great. I travel alot showing dogs mostly up chicago and WI area I am curious how the Verizon will work up there.. I have a feeling it will do good.
