Buyer beware.Everything is late and nothing but excuses. The owner said he would come to the site and never showed.Have a lawyer check the contract for double charges. Our drywall work was supposed to be done in November but didn't get finished until January.Check with Attorney Generals office, they have had other complaints.

I just finished a new home deal with New Horizons Homes in Marion, IL, a retirement home for my parents. I found them to be easy to deal with, above board, sticklers for contractual details to avoid misunderstandings, and extrememly helpful as my family relocates to the area. The crews performing the work from the Contempri Homes factory and subcontractors hired locally by New Horizons Homes performed work according to agreements were professional, and timely. They all went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied prior to calling the job finished. I appreciated the open lines of communication with New Horizons Homes. I was always treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. We have another home project to start in the next year and will definitely be repeat customers. My original deal was to be with Clayton Homes(mobile/manufactured) and at the last minute due to corporate policies they were unable to stand behind their sales person's word. New Horizons Homes(modular) saved the day with a much better constructed home at the same price with more square footage. On the Jul 2008 post from stinger07, remember you can't please all the people all the time but I definitely recommend visiting this business to form your own opinion.
