Just curious as to what region of IL you find the most attractive.

I chose southern Illinois. The Shawnee forest area and the wooded setting make it feel like your so far away from everything.

I agree. Love the hills, rivers, creeks, rock formations, flora and fauna. NW IL gets my second vote, not far behind.

I think NW Illinois gets far more publicity than southern Illinois though. Rend lake has a few fish tourneys though.

I'm partial to Central mainly cuz I was raised there......I was just up there in October and it was still lovely.

Idk, it is quite odd I like that geography. Don't get me wrong though I also like the Galena area and Southern Illinois.

Jericho, Not to go off topic but I know what you mean by peaceful, when I was at Field of Dreams in Dyersville, IA it was so peaceful and beautiful much like central Illinois.
