Craigslist Scam (Chicago, Naperville: apartment, rental, house)

I assume this is a scam response to an inquiry I had placed about a rental home in Naperville but if I could get further thoughts it would be great.

house you are making enquiry of. Actually I resided in the house with
my family,My husband and 12yrs daugther before and presently we had
packed out due to my transfer from my church branch and now situated in
West Africa. And presently we want to rent out the apartment.Our house
is available now for rent at $1200 with a deposite of $300 including and security deposite of $400 the Utilities like Hydro,washer, Internet facility,t.v.,D.V.D,cooking
gas, etc.

There is no problems about the date you would want to move in but i
want to let you know that money is not the issue, but what we are after
is absolute care on the apartment when you pack in.We are looking out
for someone that will always keep our house clean and tidy. The keys
and the documents of the house are here and we shall get it shipped to
you via DHL COURIER SERVICE as soon as you are ready to move in.Pls i
want you to note that,i am a kind and honest woman and a good
christain, also we spent alots on our properties that we want to give
to you for rent.Our house is well funished and nice looking.

So i will solicit for your absolute mentenance of this apartment and
want you to treat it as yours,i hope this is very clear to you is not
all about the money,but i want you to keep it tidy all the time so that
i will be glad to see it neat when ever we visit you.You can stay in
the apartment as long as you wish because we already have another house
here in West Africa.I also want you to let me have trust in you as i
always stand on my word. Let me know the exact date you wish to move in
so that i can send the contracts to you. You can move in with pets,
really want to.

The rent is monthly rent, but if you wish to pay upfront nomatter how
many months you can afford, you can go ahead and mail us back ok..If
all is nice to you, mail me so that my husband can send the contract
for you to fill.

B. Even if it weren't I'd never rent from someone who illegally asks my religion on an application.

Any one that asks for up front money, is out of the country and does not have someone here handling thier affais it definitely trying to scam you.

I think it's been removed already as I can't find it. I always flag with care on Craigslist so I wanted to doublecheck.

Sounds like another one of those Nigerian scams. Email them back a picture of your bare arse with your middle finger next to it.

Who in the hell in the native English speaking world calls water hydro?

How are a T.V. and DVD player utilities?

They are spelling the word deposit "deposite" which makes it obvious from that point this person is not a naitve English speaker right away.

I could tell it was a scam in the first paragraph.

I found that pretty entertaining! Maybe anyone silly enough to fall for it would deserve to. The only surprising part was that they didn't have 'what is your bank account #' on the application. That probably comes with the 'just send us the money and we'll send you the keys' letter, even tho 'it's not all about the money'.

It's like those email scams I get in my e-mail, talking about Places in West Africa "Burkina Faso" and mailing the keys using DHL??
