I am hoping to get some advice about the area. My wife works in Sterling and we want to move closer to her job but dont want to live in Sterling itself. We have driven through both Morrison and Milledgeville and they seem like quaint, quiet areas. Does anyone have any info or opinions about these places? How about Polo?

I have a cousin in Milledgeville and she likes it. She has small children, so no one in school yet. It is definitely quiet there.

All three areas are nice. But you may want to think of schools, grocery shopping and how close do you want to be to work. I have cousins that live in every town you mentioned and they all love it, it depends on what you are looking for. Think of the roads and winter driving, that could be another factor to look at.
I would suggest you do some more research on each town and list your pros and cons about each.
If it was me I would choose Morrison.

Default Morrison /Milledgeville Area

Thanks for both your replys! Your info helped. We noticed everyone out this way has 4wheel drive. Now we know why! Also, the schools are not important for us as we have no children. Being from Chicago, we are most interested in peace and quiet. And good cell phone reception, too!
Thanks again.
Jack

I Lived in Milledgeville app. 2 years and had to relocate due to my husband's job. I loved it there, small mall, Kroger's was great, and several restaurants. Lake Sinclair was fun if you like boating, we did alot of boating in other states but I liked Lake Sinclair because there were small islands you could pull up to and relax, have a picnic, or some people even camped out, they even were able to build campfires. Choby's and Bo Jo's at the Lake Sinclair Landing had delicious seafood, steaks, and prime rib.
I think you will like Milledgeville.
Look Luck

If I choose Milledgeville, look between Milledgeville and Eatonton, off Hwy. 212 or 444, there are some great and nice subdivions there. The town of Milledgeville is beautiful but has old homes and mostly college students. I know nothing about a place called Polo.

I grew up in Morrison, my parents still live there...it's a very nice town. With that said, polo and mville are also nice.

There are some nice pockets tucked in off Route 30 between Morrison and Sterling (like by the Forest Inn) that might be good too?
