Illinois Holidaze
I think in about three weeks, more or less, the Christmas seaspm will officially begin. One of the largest night Christmas parades and displays in the United States is in central Illinois in East Peoria. The Festival of Lighte East Peoria, Illinois or F.O.L.E.P.I as it is better known, parade kicks off the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and the larger than life displays are on every night until the first weekend in January. If you like Christmas displays this one is spread all over town and there is something for everyone. It is also worth the trip to see it. Three of the places I remember that had large displays and lots of lights were Santa's Village at the Junior High football field, the Senior Center which is about four blocks past the jr high and the City Park in East Peoria.
