I currently live in Central Illinois, my husband and I are looking to relocate but not sure where. We have considered TN, and IN but we have several factors that are of concern. We have 4 children our 3 biracial daughters (I'm black he is white) and his son who is all white. Our 3 oldest are in school ages 12, 10, and 5 so we need a place that has good schools and jobs because here there are neither, my husband is a truck driver so he can pretty much go anywhere. We're not really worried about our relationship being accepted or not we've been together long enough that we can over look stupid people but we do want our kids to be accepted. If anyone has any relocation advice please let me know.

THANKS

Have you ever considered the Raleigh NC area? This would be a great area to raise your family. We have people from all walks of life here. That is one thing that is so wonderful about this area. Your children wouldn't have a problem here. You should visit.

Take Care
Debbie

Madison WI if you want to stay in midwest.

We lived in Waukesha county WI for years. We have close friends who are like you in terms of race. I don't recall them every having concern or issue with the raising of their children.

Waukesha County is directly west of Milwaukee.

WI has really good public schools.

I suspect both Madison and Waukesha will have a higher cost of living than your current location.

I am sad to hear you live in central Illinois and your kids aren't accepted. Your town must be awfully small and ullta conservative. I live in a small town and we have people of all colors who work and live here with no troubles, but we'e pretty progressive, too.

Grove, Oklahoma is a nice area..It looks a lot like central Illinois withthe bluffs and water. It is a nice town, I never heard of kids having a lot of trouble in school as it is a town of colors.

No my kids are very well accepted here it's just that the jobs are scarse here and I hate the area because it is becoming a ghost town. I am just wanting to make sure that where ever we move to we move to that we are accepted
