It's now official: Blago is out. Welcome Governor Quinn...
The Illinois Senate is doing roll call vote on the impeachment charges right now. There are now enough votes to sustain the articles of impeachment. So far it is unanimous.

You beat me to the punch by less than a minute... Mods, can you delete my thread? Or merge it if there are posts?

Quinn is not a bad guy at all. A bit of "boy scout" image wise, but not clueless. He won't be able to raise the kinds of cash that other candidates will on the Dem side, but that is not a bad thing.
I wish him luck!

Quinn hasn't been sworn in yet, so we are actually a governor-less state at the moment...

Illinois could use a 'boy scout' image about now.

Make that 59-0. One senator's vote pad didn't work so his vote was later added manually.

It's unanimous. Rod Blog is out and he can not ever hold a political office in Illinois again.
If Quinn is a good state CEO he will get a second term. It he takes services away from seniors and children he'll be out.
