Default Ethanol-free gas in eastern Illinois?

Does anybody know of any gas stations in Ford County, Champaign County, or near this area that sell regular gasoline without ethanol?

Try a race track, the stuff from VP and Sunoco is generally ethanol free. You'll pay a fortunate for it.

Seriously, I do not believe it is likely you will find Ethanol free gasoline in Illinois. I had a discussion about 10% Ethanol with my dealer before I bought a new truck. The 10% Ethanol does no damage to the gasoline fuel burning engines found in cars manufactured as late as 2008.

Now the E-5 gasoline is another matter. You cannot use this fuel with older vehicles. Gasoline nozzles were redesigned a few years ago so that the gasoline cannot be pumped into the wrong vehicle. The last Ethanol gasoline I found was in Missouri on the Arkansas border.. Its a fur piece to drive for Ethanol free fuel..

Wait -- so you can use E10 gas with older engines but not E5? That doesn't make any sense.

I didn't even know there was any such thing.

I think he meant E85 but left off the 8.
