Default Please respond if you work in Rockford.

Trying to do a quick poll...

Please respond with the city and how many miles you travel to work each day. Trying to find a nice city for the family near Rockford. From what I am reading, it looks like I should not consider living in Rockford. Just looking for a nice commutte and quality neighborhoods.

Also look into Cherry Valley. But no matter where you move to in the Rockford area, brace yourself for some culture shock.

We live in Byron and my husband drives 30 minutes (easy drive, no real traffic) to work. Stillman Valley is about the same distance and is also a nice town.

I think the term nice is relative. Depends on what you consider nice and what your expectations are.

When you're talking about a nice commute, where are you commuting to? What's the longest commute you would want?

What are you looking for in a neighborhood? One with lots of kids for your children? Proximity to parks? School system? Do you have a price range? Buying or renting?

I think we'll probably need more information before we're able to give an answer that's appropriate for you.

I work in Rockford and live in Boone County. My commute is about 35 minutes and I love where I live.

Good luck
