Default Looking to move to Monticello Illinois

My family and I are looking to move to Monticello Illinois from Winston Salem, NC.

I would like any feed back about the schools and what the housing situation is in Monticello. I will be working in Champaign and my husband will be working mostly in Decatur and occassionally in Danville.

My chlidren are currently in 4th grade and kindergarten. What are the extra activities that are offered in Monticello? Soccer? karate? Is there a YMCA or something similar?

Any information will be helpful.

Thanks

This is probably way too late....but for others....

Monticello has great schools and excellent activities for kids of all ages. You picked a great family town. I live in NC now and will be moving back to that area in 2-5 years (before the kids reach kindergarten) specifically because of the schools. The schools here in WNC are horrid.
