Tried Beef-a-roo last time we were through and our family now calls it Barf-a-roo. We're headed back through Rockford and hoping to find a better selection of restaurants. Going to be staying over by Loves Park. Any recommendations?

If you want a good family restaurant, try The Machine Shed.

I had lunch once at Thunder Bay Grille near E. State St. and it was pretty good. I also had cocktails and appetizers at Giovanni's during a wedding reception, and both were good.
