Just admit you went to ISU already. Or your offspring did.

I said that I went to ISU earlier in the thread. That doesn't make my argument any less valid.

You would have been better off going to Olivet Nazarene University IMO.

What are you talking about?
The OP asked about a specific set of rural, public universities. You proceed to answer nothing about them. Instead, you talk about how bad they are and tell the OP they should go to a Private, urban school.
By the way, to say N-L is more reputable than any of the schools mentioned by the OP is a joke. There is nothing wrong with N-L at all, but it cares little in the way of name recognition, even in Chicago.

If I wanted to major in Finance, I would choose ISU if I couldn't get into UIUC, strictly for its program.
Again, call ISU and see what finance graduates have done (what % went to get advance degrees, what schools did they apply to and % accepted, what are they doing career wise) and do that with the all said schools you've mentioned and compare. If you want a traditional campus with a sports atmosphere, then look at ISU and SIU. Either way you need excellent grades accompanied with stellar recommendations if you want to compete for a Big 4 internship. Good luck.
