Default Any first hand data on Byron, IL
My wife is looking at a job in Byron. Can anyone provide some first hand information about the area, housing market, schools, taxes, etc...?

I dont live there, but have been through the town a few times... its pretty decent from what Ive seen. Its a small town that is relatively inexpensive. Not sure what the taxes are, sorry! The town is close to Oregon, IL, which is a scenic little town with a couple of scenic state parks right there in town. Castle Rock and Lowden State Park are great state parks.

djbridgeland is on a distinguished road
As long as you don't mind living near a nuke plant its a pretty good place to live. The schools are top rated for the area, mainly because of all the money they get from ComEd.

I knew a few people who lived there and they liked it. Its a small town and safe, the Taxes a bit less then Rockford.
