The Peoria main Library on Monroe shoule have the phone books with yellow pages from 1969. It might be listed under gas stations or plumbing - whatever your friend did. If you go back farther you can find where the Sinclair stations were located. If it was in Peoria County there would be a business license too.

Peoria County extends NE roughly from the 474 bridge at Bartonville to Lacon. Thence due North to Wyoming and thence West past Brimfield several miles. Peoria County encompasses more than 600 square miles. You be looking for the proverbial needle.

There is an old E-W track that crosses Farmington Road at the foot of Farmington hill and passes Bellevue and goes into Bartonville to the river. It croses under a N-S track too. Sinclair was a familiar sign in the '40s & '50s and Peoria has always been a transportation port - which is part of your problem. There was, at one time, a ton bunch of tracks.
